Acupuncture (60 min)
A good fit if you're new to acupuncture, have a specific concern that responds well to needling alone, or prefer a shorter visit. May include moxibustion:Moxibustion (Heat Therapy): moxa (mugwort) is held near specific acupuncture points to gently warm the body and support the flow of qi. Frequently used for menstrual cramps, pain, conditions that worsen with cold, digestive concerns, fatigue, postpartum recovery, and seasonal support.
Acupuncture Plus (75 min)
Includes everything in the Acupuncture visit, plus one additional modality based on your needs:Cupping: traditional glass fire cups create suction on the skin to encourage qi and blood flow, release fascial and muscle tension, and improve circulation. Commonly used for acute and chronic pain, tight or knotted muscles, and respiratory concerns including cold and flu.
Gua Sha: a smooth-edged tool is glided firmly across the skin to promote qi circulation and release muscle tension. Especially helpful for neck and shoulder tension, headaches, and tight muscles.
Electroacupuncture: a gentle electrical current is passed through select needles to enhance circulation and support nerve function. Often used for orthopedic concerns, acute musculoskeletal pain, and post-injury recovery.
Each visit is tailored to what's happening for you that day, so the additional modality may shift from one visit to the next.
